MISSION STATEMENT
As the longest established counselling service in Galway city, Pro Consult has provided a community-based professional counselling and psychotherapy clinic for over 30 years. We offer help and support to adults experiencing a wide array of life challenges and problems, with the aim of enabling them to better cope with life.
Pro Consult is a registered charitable organisation. We are a full member of Community Therapy Ireland, which is a network of community based counselling services. Our service is provided by highly qualified and experienced staff who are Registered Counselling Psychologists and Psychotherapists (Psychological Society of Ireland) and/or Accredited Counsellors (Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and (Irish Association of Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy).
Counselling Services Galway
We offer a range of services to meet your needs. A doctor's referral is not required to begin your counselling. Our services include:
- Individual therapy
- Couples therapy
- Supervision for Counsellors & Psychotherapists
- Online and Telephone Counselling
- EAP support for employees & organisations
A standard fee applies to each counselling session. Under certain circumstances, we can offer a limited amount of low cost counselling for those who are unemployed or on social welfare payments.
Many health insurance companies will cover some (if not all) of your counselling sessions. The level of cover will depend on the policy you have, so please contact your insurer for more information.
Work Related Counselling
We offer supports for employees and staff experiencing work-related issues that may affect their mental health.
- A confidential counselling support for E.A.P. (Employment Assistance Programme)
- A resource to voluntary and community agencies in Galway.
Counsellor & Psychotherapist Supervision
Supervision is vital to the process and ongoing maintenance of a counsellor/psychotherapist’s competency and development. We provide experienced supervision in counselling and psychotherapy to accredited therapists and trainees.
